Sunday, September 20, we are honored to welcome Eppie Fahigal Encabo, National Moderator of the Pacific Islander and Asian American Ministries (PAAM) of the United Church of Christ, as part of her official visit to the Midwest Region. Eppie, now serving her fourth term as National Moderator, is a longtime member and founding pioneer of First Filipino American UCC in San Bruno, California. A retired registered nurse with 40 years of service, she has also served the wider church and advocated for health care, human rights, young adult leadership, and humanitarian service.
Eppie will preach during our 9:30 a.m. worship service as a UCC lay leader. We hope you will join us in giving her a warm Christ Church welcome and stay for fellowship following worship as we learn more about PAAM and its ministry across the United Church of Christ.
