As a new school year and season of work begin, we invite you to bring your backpack, briefcase, laptop bag, lunch bag, or any other work- or school-related bag to worship for a special Blessing of the Backpacks.
This blessing is for students of every age—from preschool through college
—as well as teachers, school staff, professors, administrators, daycare workers,
and anyone beginning a new job or returning to work after a time away.
Together, we will pray for wisdom, courage, compassion, and God's presence in the places where we learn, teach, serve, and grow.
Whether you're starting kindergarten, teaching your twentieth year, beginning a new career, or simply embarking on a new chapter, we invite you to receive God's blessing as we journey into the year ahead.
