Big Noise Theatre has been producing quality stage entertainment in Des Plaines for 20 years. Performances occur within the Prairie Lakes Community Center there are adult productions and youth productions.

Center of Concern is a nonprofit social service agency in Des Plaines serving residents throughout suburban Cook County. All agency services are provided at no cost and include housing assistance, older adult programs, and community services.

Self-Help Closet & Pantry of Des Plaines is nonprofit established in 1971 serving Des Plaines residents in need by providing food, clothing and personal care items.

The Harbour offers immediate, stable, and safe housing to youth and young mothers experiencing homelessness. We strive to promote safety, stability, and personal growth by providing services and support for long term housing stability, continued education and employment, and individual counseling to help break the cycle of homelessness.

We work across northern and central Illinois, offering drop-in centers for youth, caregiver and parent support, plus community education and professional development.

Youth Services Glenview/Northrook believes every child should grow up happy, healthy and hopeful. Our mission is to foster the social and emotional growth of children and youth.The Pride Youth Program offers social, support, and leadership programming for LGBTQ+ youth ages 4-24 and their families from across Chicago’s northern suburbs. Our prideCONNECT, prideSUPPORT, and prideLEAD programs offer a variety of opportunities for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and/or transgender youth, and youth who are questioning their sexual and/or gender identities to build relationships, get support, and lead their communities.
